Usher heeft zijn fans geprankt bij zijn optreden op Dreamville. Afgelopen weekend stond de zanger op het podium van J. Cole’s festival, waar hij zijn ‘special guest’ aankondigde.
“I don’t know if you guys listened to some of the interviews that I did before we decided to do this show, but as promised, I said I would have a special surprise for you tonight, ladies and gentlemen,” begon hij zijn goed doordachte 1 april-grap.
“You guys wanna know what that surprise is? Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, put your hands together for the one, the only, Beyoncé.” Maar er kwam niemand. Usher liep nog heel even een stuk naar achteren, maar greep toen de microfoon. “April Fools!”
Later kwamen de meiden van City Girls als ‘special guest’ op het podium.
