Pras heeft bevestigd dat hij onderdeel uitmaakt van de aankomende Fugees reünie show. Wel zegt hij dat het als een verrassing kwam dat er een tour was.
“I guess we’re blessed,” zegt hij tegen TMZ op de vraag hoe de groep na zoveel jaar nog zulke impact heeft. Maar toen hij werd gevraagd naar de tour, had hij een nogal bijzonder antwoord. “I didn’t even know the tour was happening, to be honest with you.”
Pras hoorde er zelfs pas van via de media. “I don’t know. But I heard about it through the media. I’m going, obviously, but I just heard about it last week.”
Maar volgens Erica Dumas, zijn boeker, is dat niet helemaal waar. Zij zegt dat Pras begin dit jaar al op de hoogte was.
“Contrary to TMZ, Pras Michel was well aware of the upcoming Fugees reunion tour,” zegt ze in een statement. “He, Lauryn, and Wyclef have been in communication about this tour since early summer. As this is Ms. Hill’s tour, Pras respectfully deferred any public comment until her team was prepared to make the official announcement.”
