Cardi B maakt zich klaar voor een comeback. Ze zal de VMA’s gaan openen dit jaar.
Na haar zwangerschap probeerde ze al op het podium te staan van Bruno Mars’ ’24K Magic World Tour’, maar daar moest ze vorige maand mee stoppen. “Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained since it’s not healthy for her to be on the road.”
Vorig jaar stond Cardi B al op het podium met ‘Bodak Yellow’. Dit jaar maakt ze ook nog eens kans op tien awards, waaronder die voor Video, Song en Artist Of The Year. Jay-Z en Beyonce volgen haar met acht nominaties.
De VMA’s worden op 20 augustus live uitgezonden vanuit New York’s Radio City Music Hall. Ook artiesten als Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, Post Malone, Ariana Grande, Logic, Shawn Mendes en Jennifer Lopez staan op het podium van de VMAs.
