Ice Cube brengt vlak voor de zomer zijn nieuwe album uit. Dat maakte hij bekend via Twitter. “EVERYTHANGS CORRUPT street date: May 13, 2014.” De hiphop icon brengt dus zijn tiende album ‘Everythangs Corrupt’ over 5 maanden. Het is de follow-up van ‘I Am The West’ uit 2010.
“It’s not a heavily political record, but it does have statement songs and rhymes,” zei hij onlangs. “I got a song called ‘Dominate the Weak,’ which is just showing you how a police state would look and feel. But hip-hop is in a different space right now when it comes to that. You don’t want to overdo it when it comes to the political stuff.”
Vanaf 17 januari is Cube te zien in de comedy Ride Along, samen met Kevin Hart.
