Met nog maar 4 dagen te gaan tot de release, kondigt Kanye West de tracklist aan van zijn nieuwe album ‘DONDA 2’.
Het album bevat zo te zien 21 tracks. Als je het album op Spotify wil beluisteren, dan hebben we slecht nieuws voor je. Kanye gaat het album niet op streamingdiensten zetten. Kanye brengt het album uit via zijn eigen Stem Player.
“Donda 2 will only be available on my own platform, the Stem Player. Not on Apple Amazon Spotify or YouTube,” zegt Ye. “Today artists get just 12% of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this oppressive system. It’s time to take control and build our own.”
Naar eigen zegge heeft Kanye een peperdure deal afgeslagen. “After 10 albums after being under 10 contracts. I turned down a hundred million dollar Apple deal,” zegt Kanye. “No one can pay me to be disrespected. We set our own price for our art. Tech companies made music practically free so if you don’t do merch sneakers and tours you don’t eat.”
